How we apply same day dental crowns?
Generally, you will need one appointment with your dentist to have dental crowns fitted.
The first appointment involves examining and preparing your teeth. Your dentist will determine which materials and methods are most appropriate for your individual needs, and what results you can expect to see following the procedure. The cost of dental crowns is determined by a number of factors, and your dentist will thoroughly explain these options to you before your work begins. During the first appointment:
- Your dentist may take x-rays of your teeth and the surrounding bone. If there is extensive decay or a risk of infection or further damage to the teeth, you may require a root canal treatment prior to receiving the crowns
- The teeth are then prepared for the crown. This involves reshaping the teeth by filing down the top and sides to make space for the crown to be placed, or filling out some areas with restorative materials in order to support the crown

- Once the crown is ready, crown will be glued in to your mouth.

How to care for dental crowns?
